This is a fully remote contract working for a small consultancy. You will be working with one of their end clients managing and supporting their Virtualized Infrastructure stack which is Compute based on Openstack and VMware sSphere and Storage based on NetApp / Ceph. You will be responsible for deploying and managing Ceph Storage clusters, performing maintainence and tuning on the shared storage platform. The position will also involve troubleshooting Ceph related issues and working with VMware to maintain and support the virtualized infrastructure. In terms of skills and experience you will need a detailed knowledge of deploying, operating and maintaining Ceph clusters, a solid understanding of Linux / Unix and working knowledge of Openstack environments.
